4416 - DEDUCT DAYS

Requesting a leave without pay (deduct day) is not an allowable absence from work. Only in cases of extreme emergency, death in the immediate family and medical emergencies, with all other leave options exhausted and being cleared through the Superintendent, will any consideration be given to leave without pay.

In cases when an employee is granted a leave without pay, the salary deduction for each day of absence will be based on the employee’s current salary divided by the number of work days required in the official school calendar for each job classification.
