In accordance with statute, all employees who present evidence to the Board of Education of retirement from the State Teachers' Retirement System shall be granted severance pay. The amount of severance pay shall be determined by the negotiated agreement between the Board and the professional staff.

Payment of severance pay shall eliminate all obligations of the employer at the time of retirement from any further payment or restoration of sick leave unused.
