The Board of Education recognizes the importance of establishing a Management Team System to strengthen the services and programs of the District, and to establish and improve communications, decision-making, conflict resolution, and other relationships among the members of the Team.
While the Management Team System places emphasis upon shared responsibility and authority, nothing in this policy is intended to limit the responsibility and authority of the Board ultimately to make decisions as prescribed by law.
For the purposes of this policy, the terms herein shall have the following definitions:
| | A. | Management Team - is a group of individuals composed of the Superintendent and the positions in this District of: Building Principals and Treasurer. |

| | B. | Management Team - is a group of individuals composed of the Superintendent and principals. |
|
| | C. | Management Employees - refers to those members of the Management Team. |
|
The objectives of the District's Management Team are:
| | A. | To provide input into all policies which directly affect management employees in the administration of the School District by: |
|
| | | 1. | providing open and frequent communication within; the Team; |
|
| | | 2. | applying all available knowledge to the improvement of the District services; |
|
| | | 3. | evaluating proposals made by other employees and making recommendations regarding the District's response; |
|
| | | 4. | providing input into the development of the educational goals and objectives of the District. |
|
| | B. | To provide a means of addressing the economic and welfare concerns of management employees including: |
|
| | | 1. | position description; |
|
| | | 2. | evaluation; |
|
| | | 3. | salaries and fringe benefits; |
|
| | | 4. | promotion; |
|
| | | 5. | assignment and transfer. |
|
In order for this policy to achieve its objectives the Superintendent shall prepare administrative regulations for the operation of the Management Team. Such regulations shall provide that:
| | A. | The management team meetings include: |
|
| | | 1. | management employees; |
|
| | | 2. | representatives reflective of all management employees. |
|
| | B. | The management team shall address itself to: |
|
| | | 1. | appropriate concerns identified by the Superintendent; |
|
| | | 2. | appropriate concerns identified by any member of the team; |
|
| | | 3. | appropriate concerns mutually identified by members of the team. |
|
| | C. | The concerns of the management team can include but not be limited to: |
|
| | | 1. | the District budget; |
|
| | | 2. | the District curriculum; |
|
| | | 3. | personnel management; |
|
| | | 4. | welfare of management employees; |
|
| | | 5. | the District services. |
|
| | D. | The management team may meet monthly. |
