7300 - DISPOSAL OF SCHOOL PROPERTY
| A. | Excess Property | ||
| "Excess property" is used to describe equipment or material which is no longer useful to a school or administrative office and has not been traded-in on a replacement purchase. | |||
| B. | Disposal of Excess Property |
| 1. | Under $2,000 - Current Fair Value | |||
| At the discretion of the Board, one of the following methods will be used for disposal of surplus property. | ||||
| Sealed Bid | ||||
| Public Sale (for example, flea market or auction) | ||||
| Offer to Parent Organization without cost | ||||
| Offer to non-profit organization without cost | ||||
| Sell for scrap if possible | ||||
| Junk | ||||
| 2. | Over $2,000 - Current Fair Value | |||
| The Board may dispose of excess property by competitive sealed bid, or by offer to nonprofit organization without cost. |
