5230 - LATE ARRIVAL AND EARLY DISMISSAL
Early Dismissals

	A.	Early dismissals are issued for a drivers test, doctor or dentist appointments, or emergency situations.
	B.	If possible, parents should contact the school office the day before the early dismissal is desired.
	C.	The student must sign out when leaving early.

Permanent Early Dismissal

	A.	Only seniors are eligible, upon parental approval, for a permanent early dismissal.
	B.	A permanent early dismissal is generally issued for such activities as employment, independent study, or volunteer work.
	C.	The permanent early dismissal will be cancelled for academic reasons (failure for one grading period for any subject) and/or for missing three (3) days of school per six (6) weeks or seven (7) days per semester.
	D.	Students are expected to leave the school building and the school grounds at the time of the early dismissal.
	E.	Permanent early dismissals will be checked periodically.
