3235 - JURY DUTY

Should a professional staff member be called for jury, s/he shall report same to the Superintendent and his/her principal as soon as possible.

Staff members who choose to serve will not be penalized in any way for doing so. Compensation will be determined by the negotiated agreement.

While on jury duty, professional staff members are required to report daily their schedule for the following day, and must report to work when excused for a day or more.

The time spent on jury duty will not be charged against personal leave and will count as time on the job.

Professional staff members must submit to their supervisor a record from the courts of the number of days served.
