| | A. | Head Athletic Coaches

| | | All candidates for head athletic coach will be interviewed by the Superintendent and the high school principal. The Superintendent and principal will then make a recommendation to the Board of Education for approval.

| | B. | Assistant Athletic Coaches

| | | The Director of Athletics and the Head Coach of the particular sport and building principal involved will interview all applicants for assistant coaching positions. The principal will then make a recommendation to the Superintendent who will submit the name of the candidate to the Board for approval.

| | C. | Evaluation of Athletic Coaches
|
| | | The principal will formally observe and evaluate all athletic coaches at least once during the particular athletic season. Written evaluation reports will be prepared, and after a conference with the coach involved, it will be signed by both parties. A summary evaluation report will be prepared by the principal at the end of the particular athletic season and forwarded to the Superintendent to be made part of the athletic coaches permanent file. The summary evaluation is to be reviewed and signed by both parties.
