3124.01 - EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR ADMINISTRATORS

The Board of Education has adopted the following regulations governing the appointment of administrators:

 A.Initial appointments may not exceed three (3) years in duration.

 B.Subsequent contracts shall be no less than two (2) years nor more than five (5) years.

 C.The school year for administrators shall be calculated as follows:

  1.Superintendent- twelve (12) months (250 contract days, within which s/he is given twenty (20) vacation days and zero (0) paid holidays.

  2.Principals-(193 contract days including zero ("0") vacation days.

  3.August 1st is the anniversary date of the Superintendent's contract and July 1st is the anniversary date of all other administrator's contracts.

  4.All administrators are eligible for three (3) personal leave days. They must apply for these days to the Superintendent.

 D.Contract will be issued by the Treasurer on or before March 31st of anniversary year.

 E.Contracts must be returned within thirty (30) days or by May 1st whichever is later.

 F.Every administrator before entering upon his/her duty must present to the Treasurer a valid administrator's certificate, or letter of eligibility from the Ohio Department of Education.

 G.Should an administrator be offered in error a contract for a salary which differs from that approved by the Board, the salary approved by the Board shall be the salary paid
