2431A - ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
The following rules have been approved by the Board of Education for determining the eligibility of a student to participate in interscholastic athletics:
| A. | The student must be in attendance on the day of the scheduled activity in accordance with the O.H.S.A.A. | ||
| B. | Students must meet current eligibility requirements of O.H.S.A.A. | ||
| C. | A student's eligibility will become effective on the day of issuance of the report cards. | ||
| D. | A student may be barred from further competition who has not accounted for all equipment issued to him/her in connection with any sport. | ||
| E. | Any student wishing to participate in an interscholastic sport must: |
| 1. | fill out and sign a student application card. | |||
| 2. | have parent or guardian give written permission on the application card. | |||
| 3. | be examined by a physician each sport season and found physically fit. The signature of the physician must be on the application card. |
| F. | No member of a school's varsity squad shall participate in any all-star contests, before, after, or during the regular season unless approved by O.H.S.A.A. | ||
| G. | All tourney, games, or meets during the regular season must be sanctioned by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Therefore, any players wishing to participate in any of these contests should make sure that sanction has been given. | ||
| H. | The number of semesters in which a student may be permitted to represent the District shall be determined by the day of his/her entrance and registration. S/He is then eligible until the class in which s/he originally enrolled has graduated. |
