2262 - LATCH-KEY PROGRAMS
The Board of Education is concerned about the growing number of children who may be in need of supervision beyond the regular school day.
Since these children constitute a significant and growing portion of the student population, the Board shall seek to provide appropriate programs and services for students in grades K thru 6, through the use of District staff and facilities.
Any fee or tuition income from the program is to be deposited in a special fund and no funds shall be expended for the program from the General Fund other than for:
| A. | facilities, if currently used for other purposes; | ||
| B. | utilities furnished in conjunction with the program; | ||
| C. | transportation by regular school buses, without Board approval; | ||
| D. | other expenditures as approved by the Board. |
The Superintendent shall establish administrative guidelines to implement the program.
