6830 - AUDIT

The Board of Education requires that, after the close of the fiscal year (June 30th), an audit of all accounts of the District be made annually by an independent, certified public accountant. The audit examination shall be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and shall include all funds over which the Board has direct or supervisory control. An audit of the pupil accounting records will also be conducted by the Intermediate School District or the Michigan Department of Education.

The Superintendent/designee shall also prepare and submit two (2) copies of the District's single audit report and management letter to the Monroe County Intermediate School District by October 15th of each year.

The Superintendent/designee shall also file a copy of its annual financial audit report including management letter, with the Michigan Department of Treasury by no later than October 31st of each year.
